ADVISORY

Advice based on lived experience

Avril and David advise on human resources, change management, strategic communications and organisational transformation. Between them they have 40 years experience in human resources, diversity, inclusion and equity, leadership transformation, and 30+ years in pharmaceutical market entry.

Two specialists who will say the difficult things early

Evidence not opinion

Every recommendation is built from analysis, established practice and work they have done themselves.

Board-level thinking

Both have held executive and board roles, so the advice is written for the people who have to implement it.

Introductions

Avril and David bring you into their professional circles so their network becomes yours.

Our difference: we offer advice, and follow through to implementation

Continuity is the advantage.

Nothing is handed over, nothing is re-briefed, and no distance opens up between the advice and the people acting on it.

Avril and David are advisors and accredited coaches. One engagement can run from reviewing and identifying the key issues, writing a comprehensive report with recommendations, through to coaching the executives responsible for delivery.

CHANGING LIVES · AVRIL HENRY AM

For boards and executives who know a culture problem is costing them

The principle
Inclusive, respectful, psychologically safe leadership is both a moral and economic imperative.

Who it is for
Boards, chief executives and senior leaders in government and corporate Australia dealing with gender equity, recruitment and retention, workplace culture, or values reform that has stalled somewhere between intention and practice.

How it works
Avril starts with the problem as it is, not as the organisation has described it. She produces an evidence-based blueprint for fixing it and delivers a written report to the board or executive. Where you want it, she stays on to coach the team carrying the implementation.

The record
Avril has advised on cultural reform inside some of the most closely watched institutions in the country. She conducted the Ministerial Review into Recruitment and Retention in Defence, then spent sixteen years in advisory roles across Army, Navy and Air Force, including Senior Advisor to the Chief of Army on gender diversity, values and cultural reform.

SAVING LIVES · DAVID KWASHA

For companies considering regional entry into new markets.

Who it is for
Foreign biopharmaceutical companies entering Australia and the Asia Pacific, the boards and executive teams behind them, and government boards working on access to high-cost treatments.

How it works
David researches the drug, the company and the regulatory path, then works with the executive team to build a strategic roadmap. From there he prepares them for engaging the Australian government and the reimbursement system. His coaching is where most of the value is realised.

The record
David spent a decade at Roche before taking regional leadership roles at Actelion and Alexion.

From 2001 to 2008 David was Vice President, Asia Pacific and Australian Managing Director for Actelion. He joined Alexion in July 2008 as Vice President and Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region and Canada, leading the operational set-up across ten countries to introduce biological treatments for ultra-rare and life-threatening diseases.
